Our city certainly has no shortage of inspiring interior design spots, including mind-blowingly massive warehouses stocked with mid-century marvels and beyond. Tackling these huge home decor havens is no small feat, so we appreciate the opportunity to peruse the goods in a and stress-free virtual environment. One such mecca for Mad Men-era treasures that offers the best of both worlds is furniture e-shop The Motley, which just soft-opened its first brick-and-mortar in LA.
Not to be confused with the dapper grooming line of the same name, the roughly 800-square-foot cool crib shop is located off Fountain Avenue and just a few doors from hipster faved eatery Square One. Expect to find all sorts of tapered-leg teak and walnut wonders, from Drexel headboards to stackable wooden side tables to complete sets of sleek Scandinavian dining chairs and more. Given that each piece is in pristine condition, expect appropriately-marked price tags ($265 for an original Eames shell chair, credenzas for $1250, wall units at $1000 and up).
