LA treasure hunters may have caught DTFlea's noticeably absent presence in our top flea markets roundup. While we're sad to report that the colorful bazaar quietly shuttered last fall, we're happy to announce its void will quickly be filled by Odd Market, a new weekly indie marketplace slated to debut in the historical '20s-built Casa Vertigo building just outside of Downtown next month.
Per LA Events Co. head Phillip Dane—who's also behind SFV's Night Market and Chinatown Summer Nights—the show will focus primarily on LA-based vendors offering home decor, apparel, jewelry, art, artisanal foods and more handmade goods in the former Odd Fellows Temple. In addition to hosting a curated selection of 80 local sellers, Dane tells us the weekly "Unique LA meets Old Hollywood" event will also include fashion shows and guest DJs to keep shoppers entertained.
Excited for it? The market kicks off Sunday, September 21 from 12pm to 7pm. Admission will be just $5 and parking is free; there'll also be preferred entry for $15 (VIP parking, no lines plus a free gift included).
