Bad news for Blush Salon. The Woodland Hills full-service beauty salon and retail boutique has just been hit with a serious lawsuit by a 72-year-old woman. Our sister site Eater LA points us to this CBS News piece noting that the elderly patron accidentally ate a marijuana-laced cookie that was allegedly left on a tray for customers to enjoy. (Really?) She's suing the salon for "negligence, strict product liability and negligent infliction of emotional distress."

The event, which occurred last October, left Jo Ann Nickerson hospitalized after she thought she was having a heartache. A blood test proved that THC—the principal psychoactive chemical of the cannabis plant—was indeed found in her system. Nickerson is seeking unspecified damages; the salon has no comment at this time.
