Before becoming a fitness superstar, Tolland Weems was well on his way to becoming a motocross wunderkind. "I got my first dirt bike motorcycle on my fourth birthday," he reveals. "My entire life was motocross. I turned professional at the age of 16. My career ended after being in a car wreck and breaking both legs. After that, I knew that I wanted do something in fitness, so at 20 years old I moved to LA to start from scratch." Weems now teaches indoor cycling at AuraCycle and is a bootcamp instructor at Barry's Bootcamp.

Known for his intolerance of slackers, Weems has been told that he's "just the right amount of asshole." With that said, if this charming yet challenging trainer asks how you're holding up during one of his sweat-inducing workouts, you better answer. "If [my students] do not respond to me or give me some kind of acknowledgment, I make them pay," he explains. "I always remind them that I only ask because I care, and that we are all in this together."

While Weems certainly seems tough as nails, there are two creatures that he absolutely does not mess with: "Sharks and snakes! Let's start with sharks; why would anybody go in their domain? I will never get in the water. If you ever hear of a shark getting me, it's because it came up on the beach and got me! As for snakes, I can't even watch them on TV. I would happily eat a spider before I would touch a snake!"
