Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

The Eastside (or whatever you want to call it), is about to get even more veganized. Following the upcoming Silver Lake opening of cruelty-free shoe line MooShoes, Echo Park will soon be home to PETA's very first vegan pop-up shop.

The Vivienne Westwood-backed animal rights organization tells us that this Saturday, August 23 from 11am to 6pm, the rooftop deck of their Bob Barker Building at 2154 Sunset Boulevard will be transformed into a shopping bazaar filled with dozens of ethical fashion brands, including Cri de Couer, Sydney Brown and the aforementioned MooShoes. Pressed Juicery and Courtesan Cupcakes will be in the house to hydrate and satiate.

Learn more about the FREE festivities here. Ironically, no pets are allowed at the event.
