If catching some of our hometown's on-the-rise music makers and fulfilling your local retail therapy agenda is on your to-do list this weekend, don't miss Echo Park Rising. Now in its fourth year, the free music fest returns to the cool Eastside nabe with plenty of bands, booze and boutiques this Friday through Sunday.
Taking place on on retail-happy stretches like Sunset Blvd, Glendale Blvd, Alvarado Ave, Echo Park Ave and their surrounding streets, the three-day fest includes an array of music stages and activities throughout the area. In addition to enjoying live beats from headliners like Peanut Butter Wolf, the Allah-Las, Cherry Glazerr and hundreds (seriously) more ace acts, local boutiques like insider-faved frock haven Lemon Frog Shop Vintage, do-gooder shop 826/LA Time Travel Mart, edgy apparel and accessories store Vlad the Retailer plus a host of top-notch record shops will be joining in on the massive neighborhood block party.
