Welcome to Racked LA's search for our city's Hottest Trainer 2014. Over the coming weeks, we'll profile sixteen smoking locals—fitness experts who not only look hot in spandex, but can make you look amazing, too. Once you've gotten to know everyone, we'll host a March Madness-style showdown in which readers vote for their favorites. Let the games begin!

Our fifth contestant, Byron Quiros, started dancing professionally and choreographing at the age of 17. After training in ballet, jazz and modern to compliment his hip-hop skills, the tall, dark and handsome talent went on to tour with top artists at just 23 years old. Eventually, his passion for helping both dancers and non-dancers reach their full potential led him to Lotus Kitty in Studio City, where he teaches his signature Red Relevé class. "It's a mixture of burlesque-like movement and ballet," he explains. "Not only is it a kickass workout, but it's also an empowering, spirit-filled, sensual, invigorating and liberating experience—without the intimidation factor."

When he's not mesmerizing clients with his sultry moves at Lotus Kitty, Quiros keeps his plate full by teaching barre at Cardio Barre in Eagle Rock and hip-hop at Arcadia Fitness in Arcadia. He also trains private clients at Threshold Fitness in Glendale, because who needs sleep?

To be a dance machine like Quiros, one must have a killer playlist. Some of his favorite jams include "Lose Yourself" by Eminem ("it keeps me motivated on all levels—mental, physical and emotional"), "Black Widow" by Iggy Azalea ("I love playing it during my Red Relevé class and personal workouts") and anything by Justin Timberlake or Usher. He also claims that he can "karaoke rap with the best of them," so there's that.

As if there was any doubt that we can bring Quiros home to mom, he has one more invaluable trick up his sleeve: "I can make any baby stop crying, focus intently and start laughing."
