Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
When we last took a peek inside OAK's under-construction Beverly Boulevard boutique in May, the street art-decked space had yet to receive its monochromatic makeover. As if we weren't hyped enough for the NYC-based brand's second LA outpost, the Aussie-faved minimalist cool label has spared us the sneaky photo shoots and revealed the latest progress at their space.
Like OAK DTLA, the 6,000-square-foot space features floor-to-ceiling windows, bright white walls, and concrete flooring; but unlike their first location, the interiors boast wood accents and the front patio will be transformed into a cool garden hangout area. (Perhaps that's the "unique personality" they were referring to?) The grand opening date has yet to be set in stone, but Oak tells us the shop could open by or before mid-August.
