In addition to being a staycation must-stop and a secret mecca for indie shopping, San Diego is also home to Comic-Con. Located at the San Diego Convention Center, the four-day fest is an action film and comic superfan's wonderland, offering star-filled panels, seminars, workshops and parties dedicated to all things fantasy.
Comic-Con also brings out the globe's wildest dressers, thanks to its dedicated cosplay crowd. (The show makes LA's Anime Expo look tame.)
