Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Major props go to the marketing genius who made wearing workout gear socially acceptable for non-gym situations, because just the thought of our fitness scene's many new additions is enough to make time-pressed Angelenos break a sweat. If you're in need of more multitasking pieces for your summer workout wardrobe, new luxe fitness line //OUT Incorporated is yet another stylish sweat sesh-to-soiree option.

Founded by beauty and fashion industry vets Libby Amelia, Lauren Gill and Leah Hundness, the SoCal-based brand's debut line offers mix-and-match pieces like tissue-thin tops, wear-all-day sports bras, figure-flattering leggings, sweat-resistant accessories and much more. Made from "technologically advanced" fabrics that promise ultimate comfort (quick-drying!) and performance (muscular compression!), stylish standouts include this sexy laser-cut bodysuit/swimsuit ($250), these silver running shorts ($115) and this asymmetric (and very supportive) triple-strap bra ($110). The label's available online and at Fred Segal, but you can also shop the entire range at OUT's month-long pop-up shop in Newport Beach's Fashion Island.

We sat down with the founders to learn more about the line—read all about it and get deets on their OC pop-up after the jump.

What inspired you to start the brand?
"//OUT Incorporated is a fashion-forward fitness label dedicated to active women who want to enjoy a style-fuelled life, without the wardrobe changes. We care about fitness and have always had a penchant for fashion and beauty given our backgrounds. The garb currently available on the market, however, certainly wasn't able to deliver what we were looking for. We wanted to hit the gym in items minus the motivation motifs and lime green detailing. Today's woman is discerning and sophisticated. We wanted to create an offering which showed women it is ok to be sexy.

We had all worked at Sephora in Asia for a number of years and were constantly surprised by the number of innovations in beauty. When we talked about fashion however, we noticed that the same innovation in fabrics and uses was not so conspicuous. In fact the high street trend has arguably created a shift in focus away from great fabrics and construction. The timing felt right for us to change preconceptions that fashion and fitness should be mutually exclusive."

What are your design influences?
"Superior construction, clean lines, sleek silhouettes and fabric innovation! Call us fabrics snobs if you will. Our garments are made from technologically advanced materials promising quick-dry comfort, fluidity of movement and muscular compression."

Lastly, can you describe the "OUT girl"?
"The OUT girl is a woman who wants to get more out of her wardrobe in a way which is bold, sexy and unexpected."

As for that pop-up, the brand has taken over Babakul's former space at outdoor shopping center Fashion Island, where they'll hold court until August 31. In addition to offering their full range of fitness apparel, the space will stock new OC home inspo haven 503 Found's stylish furniture and housewares, edgy footwear from Mara & Mine, and fragrance and body products from Ron Robinson.
