Echo Park has lost an insider-faved treasure trove. As spotted on essential indie boutique Myrtle's Facebook page, beloved vintage shop Minnette's Antiques is locking their doors forever.
"After 47 years we are sadly closing our doors on June 28," the store wrote on its windows. In an effort to keep 97-year-old shop owner and respected resident Minnette King's business afloat, manager Victoria Thor recently told Eastsider LA that the furniture and accessories shop relocated in December to neighbor Rumer B Antiques' vacated digs. (Sadly, King passed away not long after.)
Minnette's Antiques' old space at 2205 W Sunset Blvd is now home to holistic sweat sanctuary Whole Body Method.
