Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
Over the last four years, the Helms Design District Vintage Boutique has transformed Culver City's Lightspace Studio into a mecca of throwback treasures. Rather than cancel their end-of-spring installment due to construction at their Westside haunt, the vintage show is taking over Hollywood's historic Egyptian Theater with the Art Deco Society for a very special retail therapy and film experience next week.
Taking place Saturday, June 14 from 12pm to 6pm, the event not only includes its usual roster of 20+ top-notch apparel and accessories vendors (plus a handful of new ones), but a vintage fashion presentation and a screening of the 1959 classic flick, The Best of Everything, too. Admission to the boutique is $5 and tickets for the movie are $11, but the fine folks behind the Helms Vintage show are offering four free pairs of tickets (including shopping and film screening entry) to Racked readers.
To win a pair of tickets, be one of the first four people to shoot an email to dave@clevervintageclothing.com with the subject line "Racked LA sent me!"; winners will be contacted by the Helms Vintage organizers directly and tickets can be picked up at the door.
Snoozed on the giveaway? A limited number of free and discounted tickets for the boutique are available here. Good luck!
