If you, too, were ready to book a flight to Taipei just to experience that ridiculously adorable Eva Air jet that landed in LAX last year, you'll soon have a ground-level way to soak up Sanrio's biggest star in all her charming glory. In addition to teaming up with LA's Dodgers, Hello Kitty is toasting her 40th birthday in the City of Angels with her ultra cute overload Hello Kitty Con 2014 this fall.
Aptly taking place at MOCA's Geffen Contemporary in Little Tokyo from Thursday, October 30 to Sunday, November 2, the first-ever fan convention for the cartoon feline will include a Hello Kitty Super Supermarket stocked with exclusive merch, an interactive retrospective at the Japanese-American National Museum, workshops, art installations, an arcade and even a tattoo parlor. (We're guessing temp tats for the kiddies?) Plus, there'll be a pop-up shop offering superfans an exclusive look at upcoming merch.
Into it? Admission is $30 for guests 13 and over, $20 for children from 6 to 12 and free for kids 5 and under; learn more about the LA festivities here and score your tickets to Hello Kitty Con here.
