Looking to get crafty at one of LA's coolest shops for art and oddities? Next month, Otherwild is set to throw a series of DIY workshops at its retail shop/design studio hybrid in the heart of Echo Park. They've teamed up with Women's Center for Creative Work (WCWW) to host the $45 events, which will feature everything from tie-dyeing to letterpressing.
First up is a tie-dye session with unique textile purveyor Mariculous on Saturday, July 19th from 2-5pm (sign up here), where guests can learn how to creatively dye tops, tea towels, socks, pillowcases dog sweaters and more. That event will be followed by a plant medicine for beginners sesh on Thursday, July 24 at 6pm (sign up here), where Homestead Apothecary will cover the basics of water-based medicines, tinctures, vinegars and beyond.
The final workshop is on Saturday, July 26 from 11am to 2pm (sign up here), where participants will learn how to make a letterpress printed book. Nice!
