Design Your Own Dress at M Dot's LA Design Festival Pop-Up

On-the-rise LA label M dot Design Studio has been popping up around town quite a bit these days, making us wonder if the RackedWire regular will finally snag a brick-and-mortar space of their own. Fans of designer Michelle Aquino's colorful creations will soon get their wish, as the brand is expected to open a flagship store this fall—but first, they're treating shoppers to a very unique pop-up experience this weekend as part of the LA Design Festival in District La Brea.

This Friday from 12pm to 7pm and Saturday and Sunday from 11am to 5pm, the brand is setting up shop at 101 S. La Brea with a handful of other designers, including jewelry designers Coralie Reiter of Coral and Stone and Amy Agamemnon, stylish succulents creator Airplantman and more. In addition to offering 10% off your entire purchase, M dot is also teaming up with cool textile shop The Fabric Store to create one-of-a-kind designs for shoppers right on site.

To score your own custom-made M dot design, simply pick out your favorite fabric from The Fabric Store to be transformed into a summer dress or kimono. The brand's design team will cut and sew your personalized piece while you enjoy sweet treats from Angel Cake Pops and live beats by DJ Junkyard Dog.
