Whether you're a fan of her psychedelic print bikinis, flattering one-piece swimsuits or vibrant high-waisted shorts, it's clear that Mara Hoffman is the reigning queen of summer style. As mentioned the NY-based purveyor of striking Technicolor palettes will grace our city this Friday, June 27 to host her first-ever LA sample sale. Luckily, that's not the last we'll be seeing of her 'round these parts.
In a chat with Los Angeles Times fashion critic Booth Moore, Hoffman reveals that, given that all her swimwear is already produced here, she plans on going bicoastal starting this September. LA plans include a design studio and possibly a retail store. "I want to have a home in LA that resembles what we've built in New York and translates our brand to the side of the country where the clothes are being worn more," she explains.
Once she settles into her perpetually sun-kissed West Coast digs, we have no doubt in our minds that she'll want to expedite opening a full-fledged Mara Hoffman boutique. On another note, can you believe she's never been to Coachella?
