Six months ago, we revealed that A.P.C. officially confirmed its plans to open a 3,000-square-foot boutique on Melrose Place. We did some investigating this past weekend and discovered that construction on the new shop is well underway; the site's speedy workers tell us that the store might even open next week.
As mentioned, the French label's founder (and Kanye collaborator) Jean Touitou reveals that the new boutique—nestled between Christofle and Zero + Maria Cornejo on Melrose Place, and TenOverSix and DVF on Melrose Avenue—will offer womenswear, menswear, accessories and a range of kids gear. No word yet if this space will replace A.P.C.'s existing store located a hop away on Croft Avenue. Stay tuned for more, plus a progress report on those DTLA digs.
