Japanese home and lifestyle chain MUJI is finally set to unveil its second Los Angeles location, this time catering to the westside. A release reveals that MUJI Santa Monica's will open its 6,300-square-foot space on Friday, June 20 at exactly 10am. They're hosting two public events leading up to the big day.
The first event on Wednesday, May 28 will feature a special talk between MUJI president Masaaki Kanai and Hitoshi Abe, chair of UCLA's Department of Architecture and Urban Design. The FREE chat will take place at Venice Arts (1702 Lincoln Boulevard), where all guests will receive a Santa Monica-themed tote and travel mug. (Reserve a spot here.) The second public celebration will be a pre-opening shopping bash on Thursday, June 19 from 6-9pm. The first 50 shoppers will receive that same SaMo tote, along with a notebook.
