The rumors are true. Fred Segal Santa Monica tenants have been ordered to vacate the iconic 500 Broadway building by this summer to make way for property redevelopment. (420 Broadway across the street is staying.) While the building's Umami burger joint has bought some time and will remain for a "few months," Ron Robinson's popular 5,000-square-foot boutique will sadly close on May 31.
To clear out the digs, Ron Robinson SaMo is having a major sale with select items going for up to 75% off. The blowout runs now through closing date and includes kids, mens, gifts and design. A rep tells us that both the retailer's expanded shops within Fred Segal Melrose and its curated space at DTLA's Guerilla Atelier are not going anywhere, so fans can continue to get their RR fix there.
For loyal westside clients who can't make it to Melrose or Downtown, the retailer will offer their complimentary RONROBINSON TO GO service, where store buyers and managers bring a selection of items directly to your home or office. Interested? Call 323-651-3698 and ask for Jennifer Romis and Victoria Wilson, or email them direct at email@example.com and firstname.lastname@example.org. 24-hour notice needed.
