Goodwill's Huge LA Flagship and Outlet Center Opens on Friday

Among the advantages of having access to our girl crushes is the chance to score their money-saving shopping secrets, like when Hart of Dixie star Jamie King and model Camila Alves McConaughey revealed they're pros at scouring the racks at Goodwill. The thrift store chain is bringing more bargain hunting goodness to LA (and perhaps more star sightings?) with their massive new flagship retail store and outlet center, which opens in Atwater Village this Friday.

In addition to housing their 135,000-square-foot shop stocked with pre-loved clothing, home decor, furniture and more, the lot will also house a café and their Community Enrichment and Career Resource Centers, which will open May 1. To toast their new do-gooder retail therapy spot, Goodwill is throwing a huge grand opening celebration this weekend, complete with prizes and more deals.

From Friday, April 11 to Sunday, April 13, the first 100 shoppers score a $10 merchandise voucher, while the first 1,000 guests get a free tote bag. Plus, partygoers enjoy a $5 voucher for every $50 they spend. (Note that vouchers can be used after April 14.) There'll also be raffle drawings for a flat screen TV and two Blu-ray players, plus shoppers can take part in even more treasure hunting—200 free items will be hidden throughout the store.

Goodwill's also offering generous deals at their outlet center. Textiles will be going for $1.49 per pound, while hard goods will be $.69 per pound during opening weekend. Get the full rundown of rules and restrictions here.

Goodwill is open Monday to Saturday from 9am to 9pm and Sunday from 10am to 9pm.
