Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
Though Kodi Kitchen's TV M.D. character, Dr. Maggie, (spoiler alert!) met an unfortunate end on daytime telly show General Hospital, her role as a health helper continues in real life. Along with pal Nadine Levitt, the actress-turned-personal trainer has opened West Hollywood's new Best U Studio, the latest workout spot to join our calorie-obsessed city's intense fitness scene.
Using customized U-shaped weight bars to "teach the body balance and coordination through core work and isometric holds," the circuit classes combine barre, dance and Pilates for a major muscle-sculpting workout. Given that we've been enjoying some serious skin-baring temps lately, we definitely don't mind adding a new butt-kicking sweat sesh to our bikini prep routine.
Into it? Single sessions are $20, five-class packages are $95, 10-class packages are 175 and unlimited classes are $185 per month; see the full list of pricing and options here.
