District La Brea is fast becoming a mecca for menswear. Joining sporty East Coast heritage brand Gant Rugger is NYC-based e-tailer Bonobos, which is opening its first SoCal boutique on La Brea this May, reports California Apparel News.
Unlike the rest of its gents-geared neighbors (insider faves General Quarters and Union, to name a few), Bonobos' 1,500-square-foot Guideshop will be stocked with outerwear, suits, shirting, denim and the rest of their online offerings, but buyers won't be sent home with stuffed-to-the-brim bags, the brand tells us. Instead, shoppers enjoy a one-on-one personal styling experience, then order the merch to be delivered directly to their mailbox. Like bespoke suitmakers Indochino, all measurements and fit preferences are saved to guys' online accounts, making the next shopping sesh a cinch.
The industry trade pub also notes that essential sneakerhead shop Undefeated plans on moving across the street from their current spot (112 S. La Brea) this June. Wonder who'll be taking up their vacated digs. Stay tuned!
