Seeing as a few closed freeway lanes can drive us into a such a frenzy that we'll even christen the events with post-apocalyptic nicknames, it's clear the City of Angels could use some tranquility to tame our traffic woes. As if sweating our stress out at our many stylish workout spots wasn't enough, Angelenos can now deep-breathe their way to the other side of the 405 at Unplug Meditation, a new studio in Brentwood designed to help LA unwind starting April 15. All together now: ahhh.
Founded by fashion editor and makeover guru Suze Yalof Schwartz, the serene West LA space is decked out with a calming courtyard, 15-foot water fountain and bamboo garden. Offering daily 30- to 45-minute expert-guided classes (including quick lunchtime sessions!), zen seekers can enjoy an array of calm-inducing options, including body scan meditation, gratitude meditation, eating meditation and even third eye meditation. Individual classes are $20, while 10- and 20-class packages are $180 and $320 and monthly memberships will cost you just $210 for unlimited classes.
Into it? Sign up for your calming sesh before they officially open their doors online here.
