Socially conscious SoCal brand Alternative continues making big moves. After launching their Tokyo-inspired chambray collection, the label's branching out from basics and unveiling their full activewear line, Move, this summer.
After soft launching workout-ready wear several seasons ago, the eco-friendly label put their new prototypes to the test, asking active LA ladies—including derby girls, Pilates pros, yogis and more—to sport the pieces during sweat sessions and sound off on everything from the function to the fashion itself, designer Tiffany Ruiz tells us in an exclusive interview. "The line was influenced by activities like [Silver Lake-based studio] Pop Physique; the new generation of active women are not just into one activity," she says. "Move is more about [women whose] lifestyle of activity is definitely a part of who they are."
Priced from $40 to $98, the range of compression leggings, color-blocked sports bras, ultra-light layerable tops and more also features hidden inspirational messages on each piece. From what we saw at Alternative's intimate preview, it's all definitely very Racked Fit Club-ready. See what we mean and check out more photos after the jump.
Ready to sweat in it? The brand tells us the collection will be available at Nordstrom in June, plus retailers like Urban Outfitters' on-the-go store Without Walls and the brand's own boutiques in July.
