The British are clearly over that little tiff over tea from way back when. They've graced the Grove with LA's first Topshop, they've brought London's finest to Beverly Hills, and next week, their tea-fueled version of Fashion's Night Out returns to the City of Angels as part of Britweek, a two-week celebration of the U.S. and U.K.'s chumminess. In addition to a host of events happening around town, the fête's Robertson Shopping Stroll will invade a handful of boutiques with deals, fashion events and more, notes Apparel News.
Next Sunday, April 26 from 11am to 5pm, former OC star Mischa Barton will reprise her role as the retail therapy affair's American ambassador. Participating retailers include Ted Baker, who'll be serving shoppers afternoon tea from The London Hotel; Andya Hindmarch, which will treat guests to refreshments; and Reiss, which will be engaging in "delightfully British fun." (Cheerio to that!) On the beauty front,MAC Cosmetics is offering beauty samples and how-tos; Kitson will be pampering folks with express manicures from Nails Inc.; and Make Up For Ever is giving guests a lesson in It-Brit beauty with tips and tricks inspired by British icons.
