Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
From ELLE saluting Silver Lake to French Vogue vouching for Beverly Hills to American Vogue going wild for WeHo, it seems as though more and more notable mags are showing love for LA. The latest glossy to go Cali crazy is Lucky, who just held their Lucky FABB conference here last week.
Within the pages of their April issue (on newsstands now), Lucky offers a city guide that features a handful of Racked regulars. Cameos include the Rose Bowl Flea ("you have to go early to get the gems!"), Amoeba Music ("the record store has almost everything under the sun"), luxe basics designer Jesse Kamm ("she makes carefree, easy pieces that are really flattering") and, of course, DTLA's Acne Studios and Ace Hotel.
