It's already looking to be a great year for Kelly Wearstler. In addition to being named a Design Icon at California Home + Design's annual awards gala, the LA-based talent has also just completed a massive project with Cameron Diaz. The SoCal-born starlet and author commissioned Wearstler to design the interior of her Manhattan apartment, and the results are featured in a snazzy spread in Elle Decor.
Instead of hiring a designer immediately, Diaz tells the decor mag that she first compiled inspiration images of spaces that she loved. "The majority ended up being homes Kelly had done," adding that she "wanted a place that felt very homey, very tactile. Kelly is unparalleled when it comes to striking that mix."
Take a tour of the eclectic crib here, which is filled with "hues of burnished metals and lustrous minerals" and a mix of vintage and Wearstler-produced pieces.
