One of LA's top hiking trails for celebrity sightings will be shut down for more than a month. Larchmont Buzz reports that the Madonna and Natalie Portman-frequented Hollyridge Trail, aka the best direct route to the Hollywood sign, will be "closed for installation of a heavy duty wrought iron gate for the next six weeks to deter tourists and hikers from hiking to the Hollywood sign after hours." Councilman Tom La Bonge explains that "there's a necessity for a gate at this location because of its overwhelming popularity." (Psst: you can also take a three-hour hike to the sign via the Griffith Observatory trail.) [Larchmont Buzz; Previously]
