Two years ago, husband-and-wife duo Ted Vadakan and Angie Myung stole our hearts when they opened Poketo's inspiring flagship store in DTLA's Arts District. An eclectic online retailer once known solely for its cute vinyl wallets and clever Target collabs swiftly became one of our city's essential indie shops, thanks to its unique, LA-themed giftables. Since one Poketo outpost simply isn't enough, Vadakan and Myung have just soft-opened a second space inside Koreatown's super-cool, super-new concept hotel, The Line.
A mini version of its flagship, Poketo x The Line houses 500-square-feet of California lifestyle items that cater to both diehard Angelenos and global travel junkies looking for more than just cheesy souvenirs. (That's what Hollywood Boulevard is for anyway, right?) The minimalist hub hosts goods from a slew of hometown heroes, including Clare Vivier bags, Baxter of California grooming essentials, Linus Bicycle accessories, Richer/Poor socks, Generic Surplus shoes, High/Low jewelry, Mimot bags, Ben Medansky ceramics and, of course, Poketo's in-house line.
Poketo x The Line's soft opening hours are Monday through Friday from 10am to 6:30pm.
