Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

If you're a denim devotee in search of another celeb-backed jeanswear option, allow us to introduce you to STRÖM Brand. Already spotted on stylish stars like Kate Bosworth and Malin Ackerman, the new LA brand is the brainchild of Swedish-born, LA-based model Erika Strömqvist.

After extensive experience working with big-name designers like Ann Demuelemeester, Nicolas Ghesquiére, and The Kaiser himself, the Scandinavian stunner finally decided to make the long-legged leap from posing on covers and catwalks to creating her own premium denim line. Inspired by the effortless chic style of her homeland, Strömqvist's spring selvedge denim range includes unexpected silhouttes (dresses, vests and this convertible skort), distressed boyfriend jeans and more classic cuts, plus signature skinny styles like The Poppy, which involves a long folded cuff that gives the wearer's legs model-like proportions. (Shorties, rejoice!)

Priced from $169 to $1,430, the line is available on the shelf at Ron Herman on Melrose, Heist in Venice and online soon at the brand's website.
