From our many celeb-loved nail art stars to NCLA's cool nail wrap collabs to Scratch's mani-in-your-mailbox service and more, our city's clearly a breeding ground for mani masterminds and digit bedazzling options. LA's also buzzing with stylish startups, and the latest to merge the worlds of tech and beauty is NailSnaps, which is currently seeking backers to bring their "wearable personal art" concept—the Instagramani, if you will—to the masses, as California Apparel News notes.
The idea behind NailSnaps is this: Choose one of your Insta photos, customize your design using their free mobile app and voilá—your one-of-a-kind creation is printed in nail wrap form right here in LA and mailed straight to you. The local startup's goal is to raise $47,381 to put the finishing touches on the app and to get their facilities prepped to print. Contribution perks include one pre-designed prototype set for $20, five prototype sets for $100 and six free custom nail wraps and early beta access for $500, among others.
Into it as much as we are? NailSnaps is taking pledges from $1 to $1,000 and above until April 1st; throw your dollars into the hat at their Kickstarter here.
