LA philanthropist Cassandra Huysentruyt Grey is opening a beauty store on Melrose Place. Once called "The Princess of Bel-Air" in a less-than-flattering video profile by Italian Vogue, Grey tells WWD that she's adding e-commerce to her beauty site Violet Grey, highlighting celeb makeup artist-endorsed products like Tom Ford, YSL and Dior. Bringing the site to life, she'll also unveil a "1,100-square-foot space nestled between Chloé and Isabel Marant on Melrose Place" next month. "For Grey, it was just as important to have a physical touch point for Violet Grey as a digital one." [WWD, sub req]
