Last month, we revealed that uber-luxe jeweler Alexis Bittar was bowing his third LA boutique at the Malibu Lumber Yard this month. We've got some good news: as of today, the store is now open! If you've ever stepped inside one of the designer's mesmerizing meccas of gem-encrusted merch, you know the interiors are just as showstopping as the inventory themselves—and the Malibu store is no exception.
Per a release, the 600-square-foot space boasts 1940s Art Deco-meets-industrial vibe, complete with trippy custom-made taxidermy like the rest of Bittar's ritzy stores. "I want my customer to feel something special upon entering my stores—like they are stepping back in time while still indulging in a new and unique experience," he says in the statement.
In addition to stocking the NYC-based designer's statement-making fine and costume jewelry collections, the boutique will also carry antique adornments handpicked by Bittar himself. On his new coastal digs, the designer says the nabe "is the most iconic beach location in the US [...Malibu] has that quintessential laid-back vibe, yet it's already incredibly elegant." Sounds like he'll fit into 'hood just fine.
