Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

While it's true that the Echo Park Craft Fair hasn't taken place in its namesake nabe for quite some time, we can hardly give it grief for outgrowing co-founder/shoemaker Beatrice Valenzuela's own back yard. This weekend, the indie marketplace is once again rounding up top talents from the Eastside and beyond for two days of shopping at Mack Sennett Studios in Silver Lake.

Taking place this Saturday, December 13th from 12pm to 7pm and Sunday from 12pm to 5pm, the family-friendly event features locally-made apparel, home goods, from over 70 local artists, designers, and makers. In addition to wares from Racked Young Gun Valenzuela and fellow EPCF founder/stylish madre Rachel Craven, expect to find merch from jewelers Gabriela Artigas and Kristin Elspeth, edgy-earthy clothing label Objects Without Meaning, vintage shop Tavin, accoutrements brand Dream Collective, organic skincare line Earth Tu Face, art and accessories brand Vacation Days, Mt. Washington Pottery, and many, many others.

On top of all that, Canelé, SQIRL, and Moon Juice are just a few local spots that'll be serving healthy fuel and food to famished shoppers. Plus, the Vardo Tarot truck will also be parked and serving on-site readings.

Into it? One-day entry is $5 and weekend tickets are $8 (kids are free and proceeds benefit non-profit 826LA); buy them online here and see the full roster of vendors here.
