Tonight's the night. As mentioned in our New Year's Eve party hit list, parking will be a shitshow, so it's best to find alternative transportation arrangements. If you're going the Uber route, be forewarned that their implementing surge pricing again this year, and it's a bitch. To help your wallet stay up when the ball drops, Uber has put together a few tips to avoiding the most spendy times to ride. "Expect the highest demand—and fares—between 12:30 and 2:30 AM." They add that for the most affordable rides, request right at midnight or wait until later for prices to return to normal.
