Just like last year and the year before that, we've tapped a handful of influential Angelenos to weigh in on 2014's greatest hits and misses. We've already highlighted LA's best stores, coolest brands, and most-wanted shops, and top 'hoods. Now, insiders are sharing this year's best buys.

Gabriela Artigas, Gabriela Artigas Jewelry designer: "Dr Martens by Comme des Garçons."

Shareen Mitchell, Shareen Vintage owner: "A pair of vintage Ray-Ban sunglasses. They are the large framed Lennon round, a rare find. I hate taking them off. I also loved purchasing my Equinox membership."

Jayne Min, Stop It Right Now blogger: "My favorite purchase was my set of shell chairs with black eiffel bases from Modernica here in LA."

Lucy Akin, Super Street founder: "My 'Disco Devil' T-shirt by Bianca Chandon. I think my personal uniform these days is a skate tee, high waisted Acne jeans, and either Rodarte booties from spring 2014 or these Rochas loafers."

Kelsi Smith, Stylesmith blogger: "I've bought about half a dozen pairs of Miista shoes and boots this year, and I love them all. But the purchase I couldn't have lived without this year would be my hot pink Nike Internationalist trainers; it's amazing how versatile I can make a pair of hot pink running shoes while never actually run in them."
