Just like last year and the year before that, we've tapped a handful of influential Angelenos to weigh in on 2014's greatest hits and misses. Earlier today we called out LA's best stores. Now, let's talk local labels.
Lucy Akin, Super Street founder: "My favorite brand this year was The Fashion Club. Lulu Chang, the designer, has updated the classic wardrobe. Her black V-neck T-shirts were cut a little deeper, her white shirting was tailored to be a little sexier...It's the perfect wardrobe for the working girl."
Kelsi Smith, Stylesmith blogger: "That's like asking me to pick which of my kittens is my favorite! Rose La Grua, Stella Proseyn, Linden, and Odylyne are all fabulous, but if I had to choose, I'd say William Bradley. They're new to the LA fashion scene and really blew me away with their spring 2015 collection. I think they'll be one to watch over the next few years and I expect great things from them—no pressure, boys!"
Heather Lipner, Clashist founder: "I might not be as aware as I used to when I ran Uncovet, but I discovered Good Girl the other day at Space15Twenty and got these earrings.
