LA and the Land Down Under have much in common. In addition to breeding killer swimwear brands and cult-fave clothing labels, both apparently have a thing for sweating in style. Enter Oz-based activewear brand Vie Active, which has popped up for the first time Stateside in Venice, just in time to keep your winter workout sched in check.
It'll hold court there now through February 2015. Update: We've just gotten word that the shop is here to stay.
Located on Abbot Kinney, the 600-square-foot space offers the fashionable and functional fitness label's high-performance sweat gear designed with its signature F3 technology, like quick-dry merino wool tops, form-fitting sports bras, compression leggings, and anti-microbial jackets ($79 to $235). In addition, the pop-up shop stocks workout merch from other stylish Aussie brands, like accessories from Bird and Knoll, cashmere by Banjo & Matilda, jewelry from Uberkate, and more. Plus, the store will host free sweat seshes taught by local trainers twice a week (Hottest Trainer 2014 contestant Jacquelyn Umof was among last month's pro leaders; see the full calendar of classes here).
To toast its first-ever US location, Vie Active is throwing a grand opening bash
tonight, which has been rescheduled to Thursday from 6:30 to 9pm due to today's moody weather. In addition to meeting personal trainer and designer Noa Ries, expect free wine, light bites, and sips from RFC pals Juice Served Here.

Vie Active is open Monday through Thursday and Saturday from 10am to 7pm, Friday from 7am to 7pm, and Sunday from 11am to 6pm.
