According to the all-knowing Wikipedia, a Manic Pixie Dream Girl (MPDG) is characterized as "that bubbly, shallow cinematic creature that exists solely in the fevered imaginations of sensitive writer-directors to teach broodingly soulful young men to embrace life and its infinite mysteries and adventures." Minus the shallow in that description, your MPDG likely comes in the form of a friend, relative or co-worker who is unapologetically free-spirited at all times, offering gratuitous doses of her whimsical wisdom every chance she gets.

Sometimes she drives you crazy with her hippie-dippy sensibilities, but most of the time you're secretly envious of her ability to live without boundaries. So, how do you gift a MPDG?

Good news: an MPDG is easy to please. Given that Mother Nature has already given her the gift of meadows in which she frolics and lakes in which she swims, it doesn't take much to satisfy her, so if you simply steer in the direction of earthy-bohemian-gypset items, you're pretty much set. Below are a few LA-designed ideas to start with.
