The Melrose District's newest shopping haunt is filling out quite nicely. As mentioned, luxury lingerie label Agent Provocateur claimed a space next door to Alice + Olivia for L'Agent, the Brit-based brand's affordable diffusion line designed with the help of sexy Spaniard Penelope Cruz and her equally sizzling sister, Monica. Although we had hoped it would be the brand's first standalone store, turns out New York beat us to the punch and opened its L'Agent boutique last month.
We took a peek at the progress of the under-construction underpinnings shop at Melrose Avenue and La Cienega Boulevard, which got a fresh coat of white paint and some shelving. We expect it to mirror NY's pretty and pink boutique. Per the construction crew, L'Agent's West Coast flagship is expected to debut in January; stay tuned for more.
