Remember that one Christmas or Hanukkah gift you always wanted as a kid? Be it a Tickle Me Elmo or My Little Pony, your entire life revolved around that item, and nothing could stop you from receiving it—except maybe your parents. Just like last year, we're asking LA style stars to reveal their best childhood wishes. This is All I Wanted For Christmas.
Amanda Thomas is one busy boss lady. In addition to running her consistently cool jewelry line Luv Aj, the local design star recently got hitched in the raddest way possible. (Her dress was beyond.) In a true case of "she got it from her mama," Thomas doesn't take no for an answer, which is why we're not surprised that she (with the help of mom) managed to track down the most wanted girl band Barbie dolls of the '90s.
When I was a kid, all I cared about in life were the Spice Girls. It's the only band I've ever truly been obsessed with to the point where it was totally creepy. When the first Spice Girls Barbie dolls came out, they were only available in the UK and were, like, a million dollars each on eBay. Everyone at school was talking about them and how hard they were to get, so I just sadly crossed them off my Christmas list. My mom is such a boss and was able to have a friend in London track them down for me and I got them for Christmas that year! I was so in love with them but so scared to touch them and mess them up that I never took them out the box. I need to find those dolls and see how much they would go on eBay for nowadays!
