Back in March, Rick Caruso revealed big plans to transform sleepy Pacific Palisades into a walkable shopping district, much like his wildly popular Grove and Americana at Brand. The Caruso Affiliated founder and CEO looks to be keeping his promise, because its been announced that he's just closed escrow on Swarthmore Avenue in Palisades Village.
Our sister site Curbed LA reports that the super-developer is also under contract to buy a Mobil gas station on the corner of Swarthmore and Sunset, "but that deal won't even close until mid-2016. Caruso's going to reveal his plans for the site, which he says 'truly reflect the local residents' wishes,' at a community meeting on December 4th." It's a Thanksgiving miracle!
