Los Angeles has more stores than anyone could physically tackle, but somehow we always keep returning to the usual suspects. To break out of the rut, we've asked some local shopping and fashion gurus to provide their hidden retail gems—those unique stores around LA that we might not all know about. Cue the Beatles: We're about to get a little help from our friends.
Sarah Gibson Tuttle is the founder of Cali-cool nail haven Olive & June. The Vogue Paris-approved Beverly Hills nail spot isn't your typical neighborhood nail salon. The downright dreamy space is dressed up in chic decor and a color-happy wall of nail polishes all designed by the folks behind TenOverSix. Naturally, when we asked her to name her all-time favorite LA retail gem she named the essential indie boutique. Here, she tells us what made her fall in love with it.
When I first walked into TenOverSix, my eyes were opened to a whole new world of style, which is why I teamed up with Brady and Kristen to design Olive & June. Their California cool take on life has totally pushed me to go beyond my usual t-shirt and jeans uniform. My friends in New York would have never pictured me in a caftan, but now I'm in love with it. I'm always inspired when I go in and broke when I leave. From the clothing to the accessories to the home goods and art, I can't help but want it all.
