Unfortunate news for normal-dressing, bargain-hunting Downtown dwellers. Though we previously predicted that a very normal Black Friday could be coming to DTLA by way of Gap, it looks like the SF-based retailer won't be opening its massive Gap Factory outlet in time for America's official retail therapy holiday.
Construction staff tells us the 8,500-square-foot store is expected to open after Thanksgiving weekend and possibly by early December. Located at 737 S Broadway, the shop is next door to discount chain Ross Dress for Less and just a block away from cool-kid hot spots like the Ace Hotel, Urban Outfitters, and Acne Studios. In the meantime, you can pick up sartorial tips on how to "be your most authentic self" from the brand's celeb-backed fall campaign, which stars Girls's Zosiah Mamet, style icon Anjelica Huston, and Hunger Games actress/For Love & Lemons pal Jena Malone.
