Back in May, Clare Vivier casually revealed to us that she had plans to open a Santa Monica store. Good thing the LA-based accessories star still operates her Silver Lake flagship, otherwise we would have nothing to hold us over for the big day.
After much anticipation, Clare V. Santa Monica finally opened its doors this week, and it's quite the looker. Designed by Vivier's go-to architect Barbara Bestor, the space features an eye-catching mural by NY-based artist Simone Shubuck, a selection of curated goods (Vuarnet sunglasses, Chateau Marmont candles), and, of course, Clare V.'s signature leather goods.
"We opened our very first store in Silver Lake because that was my neighborhood, where I lived and where I felt closest to the local community," Vivier tells us. "I soon realized that so many people who live on the westside of LA had a hard time coming all the way over to the eastside to shop. Montana Avenue feels homey and community-based, which I thought was a perfect fit."
Clare V. Santa Monica is open Monday through Saturday from 10am to 6pm and Sunday from 11am to 6pm.
