Vote! Name LA's Best Beauty Game-Changer of 2014

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

On October 16, our fourth annual Racked Awards gala celebration is taking place in NYC, where we'll toast our country's best and brightest retail stars. Instead of unveiling LA's winners on the day of the party like last year, this time around we'll announce one winner daily for the next ten days leading up the party.

Now that we've revealed three of this year's Racked Awards winners, we're leaving the fourth category—LA's Best Beauty Game-Changer—in the hands of our trusty readers. What's a beauty game-changer, you ask? It's a hair salon, apothecary, nail studio, skincare sanctuary or any other beautification haven that is simply a cut above the rest, offering a unique service or product that keeps clients coming back for more.

Our five contenders: Beverly Hills braid/ponytail bar Assembly Salon for its nuptials-ready creative updos, Paris-based perfumer Diptyque for finally bringing its superior scents to SoCal, Studio City's Face Haus for hooking up Vogue-approved quickie facials, Melrose's Hammer & Nails for keeping dudes groomed, and 90210's Olive & June for being every style star's go-to mani/pedi spot.

So, who will it be? You have 24 hours—until Thursday, October 9 at 1:00pm PST—to cast your vote below.

Update: This poll is now closed.
