West Hollywood's cult-cool crossing at Melrose and Robertson is about to get even cooler. Ever since legendary Parisian shop L'Eclaireur revealed its plans to invade LA, we've been speculating on the exact coordinates (our first guess was DTLA). After much nail-biting, the avant-garde retailer has announced its first Stateside shop will be located at 450 N Robertson Blvd., where it'll be in good company with a host of essential stores. Oui!
Located next door to Stacey Todd and not far from H. Lorenzo, Maxfield, and fashion-faved resto Cecconi's, the three-story, 6,460-square-foot boutique is slated to open next March, notes WWD. Founder Armand Haddad tells the fashion trade pub that it will be "neither a boutique nor a gallery, but something different," and that merch will be curated for its Cali customers. In addition, the progressive shop will offer hi-tech in-store software that will allow customers to shop the retailer's entire inventory; though Haddad declined to disclose details about stock, WWD points out that L'Eclaireur's French locations currently offer women's and men's merch from high-end labels like Dries Van Noten, Bottega Veneta, Sacai, and Junya Watanabe.
