On October 16, our fourth annual Racked Awards gala celebration is taking place in NYC, where we'll toast our country's best and brightest retail stars. Instead of unveiling LA's winners on the day of the party like last year, this time around we'll announce one winner daily for the next ten days leading up the party.
Though our city clearly has no shortage of vintage emporiums, the throwback wonderland that always comes to mind when we're in need of a unique, head-turning look is Shareen Vintage. The massive dress playground was having such a major moment this year that shop owner Shareen Mitchell decided to pack up her West 3rd Street boutique to focus on her legendary Downtown warehouse.
The 7,000-square-foot secondhand shop isn't just a fave among LA's top blogstars and celeb style stars—in addition to outfitting British Polo Day attendees and vintage-loving brides, the notoriously no-boys zone made headlines this year for dressing a few Kardashians and retro songstress Lana del Rey for her Kimye performance, among others. On top of offering decades of dresses from the '20s to the '90s, the DTLA boutique is also home to Mitchell's own vintage-inspired collection.
