Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Is there something GANT Rugger knows that dude mag Gentleman's Quarterly doesn't? Two years ago, the East Coast-bred brand snapped up prime real estate on cool block Abbot Kinney as part of their West Coast expansion. For their second LA shop, they're ditching GQ-crowned Downtown and—wait for it—taking over Continental Graphics' old digs at 109 S La Brea Ave this spring.

Slated to open on (no joke) April 1st right next door to insider fave Union and up the street from essential men's shop General Quarters, the 1,100-square-foot space will boast the same antique-y chic vibes as their brasserie-inspired stores in Paris and New York. To get the look, the brand tells us the La Brea boutique will feature 14-foot exposed ceilings, vintage brass pendants and chandeliers, and artwork by renowned plant artist Satoshi Kawamoto. And as far as merch goes, expect to find menswear from the brand's GANT Rugger and GANT by Michael Bastian lines. (Sorry ladies!)

"La Brea is a perfect fit for our second GANT Rugger store in LA. It's so exciting to see the development taking place in the area across apparel, restaurants and home design," GANT U.S. CEO David Arbuthnot tells us. "We've been fans for a long time and our creative team always shops La Brea when they visit LA."
