Los Angeles has more stores than anyone could physically tackle, but somehow we always keep returning to the usual suspects. To break out of the rut, we've asked some local shopping and fashion gurus to provide their hidden retail gems—those unique stores around LA that we might not all know about. Cue the Beatles: We're about to get a little help from our friends.

Brothers Raan and Shea Parton are the creative duo behind Downtown LA's Apolis. Their global-citizen focused brand aims to create social change by forming partnerships with other countries, which allows them to utilize an area's resources and workforce to create products. As a result, the Parton's Downtown LA retail store/gallery stocks a variety of cool, structured pieces for men. We asked the brothers where they venture to for some shopping and they pointed us to none other than the charming retail shop inside the crazy-stylish new Ace Hotel.
Walk into the new Los Angeles Ace Hotel on 929 Broadway and take a quick left into their lobby, then step into their intimate retail shop. It is less than 1,000 square feet and features collaborative Ace products, a photo booth, a record collection, stain glass windows, black-and-white checkered floors, a decorative wall of anonymous books and a welcoming staff, [which] makes the Ace's new property a great addition to our Downtown Los Angeles neighborhood. You can pick up items featured in the hotel's amazing guest rooms, including the cozy robes and all of the exclusive Ace collaboration products. We [also] like being able to then head over to the Stumptown Coffee Roasters espresso bar in the lobby for a quick pick-me-up.
